Rescue Diver
The SDI Rescue Diver course equips you with the essential knowledge and skills to perform diver rescues and provide aid during diving-related accidents and injuries, such as Decompression Illness (DCI), Arterial Gas Embolism (AGE), panic, and lung overexpansion injuries.
To complete the SDI Rescue Diver program, divers must complete the SDI eLearning, 1 orientation session, 1 pool session, and 1 open water scenario day
Students must have the SDI Advanced certification, CPR, and o2 Provider – We do offer these courses!


What you can expect to learn:
The SDI Rescue Diver course is one of the most physically demanding courses in recreational diving. Students will push their advanced skills to the limit as they integrate their first-response training.
Prerequisites:

SDI Open Water Scuba Diver or equivalent

SDI Advanced Scuba Diver or equivalent

Provide proof of current CPR, first aid and oxygen provider

40 Logged Dives

Minimum age 18, 15 with parental consent
Equipment required:

Standard SCUBA unit – most divers should own their gear at this point, however we do have gear for rent

Cutting device
-
Oronasal resuscitation mask (pocket mask) with O2 inlet

Logbook
-
DCS field evaluation slate (included in the course cost)
